While it is barely a year since we started operations at Libraries for Kids International, the organization has already contacted three schools in Rural Kenya. By sending them some books and money to get the schools began with their plans to own a library, the organization is providing students in these regions without an internet connection, an opportunity to have a bright future.
We have been in touch with the teachers, parents, as well as students in the regions, and they are very excited to receive help from Roy Austin. The looks on their faces are those of a motivated lot that will put in more effort in their studies, and in a few years, Libraries for Kids International will be proud to have made a difference in the lives.
While the main focus is helping schools with books and setting up libraries, Libraries For Kids International is in support of building schools and anything else related to educating children in rural regions. At the moment, an anonymous donor has given us $25,000 to build a school in Rwanda. The process is still in its initial stages, and more details will be provided as the project progresses.
